Leslie Moran, a featured speaker at the NPRPF Parrot Festival and author of “The Holistic Parrot” column in Parrots Magazine will teach two classes while in Houston. Leslie Morán is a Reiki Master Teacher and Animal Wellness Coach. She is in the process of writing the book, “Animal Lover’s Guide: Healing with Reiki, introducing Morán Mochaya”. So her Reiki class includes a lot of new material not available elsewhere.

The classes will be held Monday Jan. 28th at the home of NPRPF Vice President Diane Starnes. Each class is half a day and open to about twenty people on a first register basis. (Transportation can be provided for out-of-town attendees).

Animal Communication Class, Level One: Jan. 28th
8:00am – 12:00pm Pre-registration is $55. (NPRPF members $40.) After 1/9/08 registration is $60. This class is a must for improving behavior, relationships, and health concerns. Bring a photo of one of your critter kids to use in class.

Reiki, Level One Class, Certification for People and Animals 1pm – 6pm Pre-registration is $150(NPRPF members $120) After
1/9/08 registration is $170. (Fee includes the book, “Reiki, The Healing Touch, First and Second Degree Manual”, by William Lee Rand.) Animal Reiki attunements are available, please bring a photo.

My stones are one-of-a-kind collectibles that can be displayed on stands or used as paper weights. They are unusual conversational pieces, colorful, creative gifts and keepsakes. I use 2x3 ½ to 3x5 inch river stones as a traditional painter uses canvas. I love the challenge of painting small pictures that sometimes wrap around the stone. It’s almost like getting two pictures for the price of one. By using people, places and things as subjects, I can create from a wide variety of themes, such as: music, dance, seasons, nature, emotions and the list goes on.
